Nominations sought for Hall of Fame
Maitland City Council is calling for nominations of people to be inducted into its Hall of Fame.
The Hall of Fame celebrates outstanding achievement and contribution of individuals from all spheres of the community who have made significant and enduring contributions in a diverse range of fields and areas of endeavour.
These can include the arts, theatre and literature, business and public service, military service, research and education, science and innovation, and sport.
The online Hall of Fame includes some of Maitland’s most successful academics, politicians, artists and sports people. Inductees include champion boxer Les Darcy, actress Ruth Cracknell, and Arnott’s biscuit entrepreneur William Arnott, as well as locally famous identities such as Athel D’Ombrain and Milton Morris.
Nominations can be made online at maitland.nsw.gov.au/hall-of-fame or by downloading and submitting a printed nomination form. For more information email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Nominations close at 9am on Monday, April 1.
