Local writers sought to Meander through Maitland
If you have a favourite thing about Maitland and a way with words, Maitland City Council wants to hear from you.
Council is gearing up to publish the third edition of lifestyle magazine Meander and is looking for local people to share what they love about the city through creative feature articles.
“The first two editions of Meander have been very successful but now we would like to step up the level of input from local people,” Council’s Visitor Economy coordinator Martin Payne said.
“We all have stories to tell and we’d love to hear from local writers or aspiring writers who would like to share their insights into the city, from the obvious through to the obscure.
“The tone of Meander is playful, fun, casual, exciting, friendly, humorous and a little quirky, so writers should be excited to share their own special yarns about the best things Maitland has to offer.”
The writer of each story selected to be printed will receive a $300 Visa Prepaid Gift Card.
Articles will need to be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday, November 16. The magazine will be released in April 2019 and have a print run of 60,000.
